Gérard Darel gets involved with sneakers

This year our feet have never been this happy. Indeed, after years of great suffering walking/running (women are always late I admit it) in beautiful, but nonetheless painful high heels, fashion comes back to the good old classics : sneakers. Even though high heels couldn't be removed forever, fashion designers thought about us by creating a shoe which keeps our feet healthy while remaining stylish.
Isabel Marant featured the international wedge sneakers, followed closely by Ash and now, other brands understood what it's going to be : comfortable shoe. Christian Louboutin and Sandro also launched their pair of clouded sneakers. As for Gérard Darel, the brand remains flat and adopts the wax trend. Anyway, very charming!

BALMAIN FW 12/13

Balmain is like pastry, we could watch it during hours so that clothes are beautiful even though we definitely know that we could never afford them. The only difference is that one will hurt our hips and thighs and one will hurt our wallet so bad. Anyway it is sooooo good to stare.

As seen during the recent Fashion Week, the most prestigious brands dictate colors of the season: pastel it will be! Olivia Palermo adopted the orange diluted-with-water jacket which wonderfully fits her. 

The Legendary Little Black Jacket

Karl Lagerfeld pays hommage to the unique Chanel little black jacket in a photo exhibition in which Vanessa Paradis, Sarah Jessica Parker and Carine Roitfeld are wearing it.
Three days of events in Tokyo to celebrate its upcoming book: The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL's Classic Revisited.  

The french house also restaged its show which takes place in an airplane's aisle and end it with a party in a Chanel store in the big city.

Alice Dellal for Boy Chanel

Karl Lagerfeld had a crush on the girl with the head half shaved, Alice Dellal. The model has become the new face of Boy Chanel handbag collection photographed by Karl Lagerfeld himself. The video also directed by the artistic director starring Alice Dellal is the new advertisement named My New Friend Boy. 

Two years ago Lily Allen was the face of Chanel Coco Cocoon handbag collection and now, Alice Dellal takes over. If we go back a few years ago the Chanel woman was embodied by Catherine Deneuve, Carole Bouquet, Candice Bergen or by Gabrielle Chanel herself. The Chanel woman is a beautiful, mature and ladylike woman. Karl Lagerfeld works with women who do not correspond to this image even though they are the it-girl of the moment. Sticky hole, hooded jacket, this is not the elegance of Coco Chanel's times. Maybe he tries to make the brand more accessible. Do you think these girls are the idea of the Chanel woman?

Miu Miu has already released two short films named "The Powder Room" and "Muta", the italian brand directed by Miuccia Prada now releases another one ; "The Women Dress" made by Giada Colagrande. Plunged into the mysterious witchcraft's world, we discover some sumptuous dresses of the new collection, accessories, bags and among everything the famous and unique Miu Miu sunglasses.

Here are a pair of fringed sneakers that I would like in my closet! 

Chanel autumn winter 2012-2013

Paris welcomes the Fashion Week and the tremendous Karl Lagerfeld. This time, the artistic director turned the Grand Palais into a magnificent galaxy with giants crystals and precious stones. The podium was full of these glimmering stones through which the glittery eyebrow models made their way.

Karl Lagerfeld plays with Chanel's codes, he trimmed jacket's shoulder pads with plumes and metal to collars. The collection is an absolute gem thanks to the meticulous work and all the details sewed on very single piece. He alters the little tweed jacket into a longer one and pitches on a more futurist view. As Balenciaga did this year, clothes tend to look like the clothes in "Star Wars". Is 2012 the beginning of a new area? Is Chanel's spirit evaluate with times? This collection is definitely 2012 and not so much Coco Chanel's times. However the art director keeps the unique and endless Chanel's elegance.

Balenciaga: spacey slogans is the new trend?

Balenciaga Fall 2012 show took place during Paris Fashion Week a few days ago. The collection transports us to a galaxy very far away. Spacey slogans on loose sweater which reminds the 80's and space, geometric cuts and metallic colors, it is certain the brand explore some new horizons and found inspiration on other planets.

Burberry AW 2012-2013

Burberry is one of the biggest event of the London Fashion Week and the most anticipated one. The key brand of England completely blew my mind. Khaki, brown and beige, the colors of autumn are also the headlights of Burberry autumn winter 2012-2013 collection. On the catwalks, waisted coats and high-waisted skirts associated with a loose sweaters constantly reappeared on the models. The collection marvels me and let us dream about theses clothes that we'll maybe wear one day: cuts are perfectly done with very delicate details.
